That's not to say that the 2 interpretations are equally valid of course because there's truth and there's spin.

See this thread here about whether locals think Wrexham has been ‘saved’. If Rich Watkin didn’t exist, I doubt there would be as many of the bars in town. Obviously I wish the best of success to him, Wayne etc but wrexham hasn’t really been transformed has it?

They've changed the outlook and feel of the community, but the town itself is still a mess in all honesty.

The vibrant, bustling high street of 25 years ago is largely dead, but Wrexham is no different to other towns in that respect.

New bars? That reminds me, there has just been a new Micropub given planning approval in Mold and all over social media it's just people moaning that it's going to hurt the existing traditional pubs in the town (where they probably don't go themselves) . Some people are never pleased!

Had a walk around recently.

The old Hippodrome site is now a lovely green lawn. The six units down the side of the Henblas development are all shut.Even the Charity ones and Community Interest Company !

Some units improved by Cafe Nero but it is appears to be like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Eagles Meadows getting grimmer by the month.
