Default Salford City (H) - T’s & P’s

Salford’s meteoric rise seems to have petered out but, nevertheless, they will be tough opposition on Saturday. Our tails are up after a very good midweek win at Crewe, but how many of those players are likely to start? JD must have a shout to start ahead of Lee, whilst Young might return because JJ will probably move to RWB, where we are currently a bit barren. Bickerstaff, Cleworth and McNicholas all did enough to warrant a place on the bench.

Our biggest question is when will SPM hit full match-fitness. He makes such a big difference to how we perform and the result we get.

Salford’s away form is very volatile: 3 wins and 3 defeats, with 10 goals for and 9 against. So it should be a fairly open game with, hopefully, lots of goals. A repeat of that 5-0 Xmas spanking would be most welcome, but can we keep a clean-sheet?

WXM 4 Salford 0

Mullin, Fletcher, J Davies and Hayden

10,000+ at a soggy Racecourse. COYR

Think after 3 away games on the bounce, not scoring many but the crucial part is not conceding any, lets bring that to our home games. If we do well defensively, then I can't see us not scoring.

If I was picking the team I'd go for:

Okonkwo

Jones

Hayden
EOC
Tunnicliffe

McClean

Evans
Young
Davies

Mullin
Palmer

Howard, Tozer, TOC, Cannon, Lee, Bickerstaff , Fletcher

Tozer continuing with a rest, Lee too. They've both played a lot of football. Bickers deserves a place on the bench after the Crewe performance.

I don't think PP will pick JT after such a long time out and playing 90 minutes on Tuesday but I hope to see him making the team soon.

Anybody know if Forde is available ?

Jones was superb against Crawley but he really deserves to keep his place in CM. JJ would be my choice over Machinden out there but I suspect Parky will go with Liam if Fore isn't available .

If so it should be JJ and Evans in MF.... and I agree I'd go with JD ahead of them with Lee on the bench for this one

Another Clean sheet for Arthur and goals for Mullin and Hayden in a 2-0 win

Wouldn’t disagree too much with that except TOC for Tunnicliffe.

Forde being available would be great. I agree with pretty much all. of that tbh. But I'd hope to see JJ instead of McAlinden, can't fault his effort but he's just not good enough in any position. Such a shame Bryce couldn't convince he was fit enough for a spot in the squad.

Saw him walking in the pool in the gym not long ago and he looked like he was struggling.

That's a shame Joe - great player when he's available - That Barnet red card could be really costly
