Interesting 45 minutes interview with Lili Jones. We don’t normally get to hear current players (men or women) talk in such detail so I really enjoyed this. I thought she came across very well and a good insight to people like me who have only paid attention to the womens team in the last year. Hopefully will see more players featured in the future.

Yes Lil interviews very well and it was very touching when she spoke about her dad and the struggles he endured.

As a bonus, she named my daughter in her all time 5 a side team which she was chuffed to hear��

Agreed and the fact that she is “one of our own” adds something extra to me. Rosie Hughes was clearly always going to be the main focus of the documentary from the womens team, but glad they have showcased someone else.

One thing that really struck me from the video was the interviewer talking about wanting a son because of the traditional football link and how that mindset will now change. I think people like Lili will be fantastic role models for young Wrexham kids and also keep that local connection which is hard to maintain in the men’s team. I completely understand not every player will want to do these types of interviews, but hope we see several other players feature in the future.

And she came across wonderfully for someone so young. Interesting, articulate, lovely personality, and seemed to be handling the sad passing of her Dad so well. A credit to her family .... and to Wrexham (football and city).
