Default Ratings vs Mansfield (FA Cup)

Okonkwo 8 - what a find Arthur has been. Little chance with the goal.

Evans 7 - got booked which left him frightened to tackle but apart from that, I thought he showed his class again.
Tozer 8 - looked back to his old self. Flint who?
O’Connor 8 - don’t think he put a foot wrong and held it together when we were under pressure.

Forde 7 - came back into the side & didn’t look as if he had been away
Jones 9 - MOTM thought he was everywhere and with Cannon at his side thought they picked up the loose and put us on the front foot.
Cannon 8.5 - his pass to Dalby was class & split the Stags defence. Hope he’s not too badly hurt but looked in some pain.
McLean 7 - don’t think he was as good as against Notts County but didn’t do anything wrong

Lee 8 - we are so lucky to have him. Played a blinder in terrible conditions in his area of the pitch

Mullin 8.5 - ran his legs off, never gave up and got a well deserved goal
Dalby 8 - played well, got a great goal and linked up well with Mullin.

Young - we lost a bit of impetus when LY came on but still passed it around well and limited Mansfield to the odd chance
Davies - got booked for his troubles but needs must in the last few minutes
Mendy 8 - thought he was great when he came on
Palmer - supported Mullin and looked to get us going in the final third

Parky - we rode our luck but credit PP to yet again, come up with a great game plan.

Referee - had a shocker,
Missed a handball from Flint in his own area
Missed a foul on Forde in their area
Should have sent Reed off for a poor challenge
Seemed intent on trying to wing us up.

Arthur - 8 - a class act who we need to try and sign to a long term deal.

Forde - 7 - great to have him back. He’s Mr Reliable when he plays.
Evans - 4 - to blame for the goal and anonymous for the majority of the game.
Tozer - 7 - a solid performance.
O’Connor - 8 - MOTM.
McClean - 7 - another solid performance.

Cannon - 7 - a surprising performance where he actually showed some heart.
Jones - 7 - fit as a fiddle and fairly reliable.
Lee - quality in the first half.

Mullin - 7 - finished his chance well.
Dalby - 8 - played very well. Good finish but should probably have had a hat trick.

Agree with Jones MOTM. Immense from start to finish.

No one should be rated a 4 from that, come on now.

Okonkwo - 8

Forde - 7
Evans - 7
Tozer - 8
O'Connor - 7
McClean - 7

Jones - 8 - MOTM
Cannon - 8
Lee - 7

The pressure the defence was under and to give one of them 4/10 is frankly laughable and deems the rest of your ratings pointless.

Ridiculous rating for Evans. I made all the CB’s 8, with TOC maybe 8.5. Evans was unlucky for their goal, his clearance could have bounced anywhere but fell perfectly for the attacker. To blame him is churlish.

Okonkwo 8.5 handling was superb in awful conditions

Evans 8 calm and classy, unlucky for the goal
Tozer 8 back to himself
TOC 8.5 so classy

Forde 7 welcome back Mr reliable
Cannon 8.5 was doing great before injury, great assist for Dalby
Jones 8.5 powerful and relentless, broke up so many attacks
Lee 8 showed some great touches and turns on a paddy field of a pitch

Mullin 7.5 great effort and always thought he’d score today
Dalby 8 great game, great goal- could have had a hat trick

Young 6 struggled to get in the game
Davies 6 little impact and booked
Mendy 7 did well on his wrong side again
Palmer 6 too little time to impact

Parky 8.5 love that he played a strong team which played much better than in the league game. Getting us to purr now despite injuries

Ref bloody awful
McClean 7 great energy, beaten a little easily on occasion

You obviously don’t rate Evans as you have been critical of him in virtually every game. You’re entitled to your opinion, but since him and TOC have been in central defence our ball retention and passing game have significantly improved.
