Sign Arthur ffs, and I'd feel solid about the seasons result.

Imagine nothing hitting your net makes promotion much easier.

He's signed until the end of the season. Maybe we'll offer him something in January ?

October's results and performances have given me confidence that we will finish in the top 3. Winning away at Notts was huge but also the late winners against Salford and Sutton show we've still got that killer mentality to keep going right until the end.

December's fixtures look favourable for us. If we can get to January and maybe reinforce where it's needed I think we'll be fine.

We're ticking along very nicely at the moment even with a fair few injuries and suspensions to deal with.

If I had to put money on it now I'd say us, Stockport and Mansfield will be the top 3 come the end of the season. In what order who knows, and frankly who cares? Promotion is the name of the game, winning the league would be a bonus.

Do you really think we're going to bring anyone in in January when we’re already above the squad limit? Hopefully get rid of one or two of the stragglers. Maybe the Armstrong deal may be resurrected but perhaps only if Fletcher is let go?

I have no doubt that we’re going to strengthen the squad in January - back to back promotions is looking increasingly likely but strengthening up front and at centre back may bring another title.

Bookies don’t know anything, they start off with a big figure then follow the bets that ensue.
More bets, lower the odds and lay off

yes, 90+ points and we'll be up I suspect it'll be more like 85, but I wouldn't want to leave it until the last 2 games of the season to get the points we need

Going back across the last decade, 78-80 points secured third place in 4 of those seasons. The most third place has managed across that time is 85 points which happened in three consecutive seasons ironically.

Obviously there's other metrics to consider such as the overall strength of depth across the league in comparison to previous years but it's a good barometer of the rough points total that's been required for automatic promotion.

The most points that 7th has managed (to secure play off football) in that time is 77. In 6 of those seasons between 69-73 points was enough.

Not to be greedy, but I see them on ~45 points at the midway mark (47-51 would be fantastic but that's asking a lot). Don't know that anyone has failed promotion from L2 under the current format with 90+ points. Keep the eyes on the process and things will end up as they should.
