It would appear then that the capacity would be around 1700ish, tickets would be on Friday if possible.

They should make them available to members only, (not ST holders to use for friends as members). This would mean those who are registered as members and have been waiting a long time gets first pick. Seems right to me.

Season ticket holders can't buy home tickets for members

No. If it’s a members only sale for a home game we don’t have access on the site for it (rightly so obviously).

We can take part in the members sale for away games though.
