We're in a similar boat re injuries when coupled with our relatively small squad, and we lost our head coach, assistant head coach, and first-team coach the other week, so I wouldn't be too concerned. I predict we'll play pretty well but lose.

I've said it before on here, but I'll say it again - we'll be midtable by end of this run of games UNLESS something big changes, i.e. a new head coach who can fix our defensive issues or some decent recruitment (not a bunch of youngsters on loan who never play).

To be fair, there's a Notts thread on a Wrexham messageboard talking about their upcoming fixtures. We are their upcoming fixture. It makes sense.

Possible that Williams leaving will screw you in a different way? You obviously needed recruitment but the manager leaving when he did has to stall that kind of thing.

This is our big chance, Stockport's injuries, Mansfields apparent drop in form and Notts manager loss and tough run just as we are looking at our strongest, with players coming back, and very likely to strengthen by the end of the month has given us the opportunity to push on.

It won't impact our attempted recruitment as LW wasn't in charge of identifying players, but it will certainly impact whether players want to join us or not and unsettle any deals we had already started working on. If I were a player, I'd want to know who I'd be working with before I made a major move.

Definitely seems like you're in a strong position now to go for the title.

We are currently , but as McClean has said , you win nothing in January . The next 6 weeks or so will give us a reasonable indication as to where we'll end up , but I suspect it will go right down to the last couple of weeks of the season before the promotion slots are decided

Saw a Neil Warnock to Notts till the end of the season rumour yesterday - what would your thoughts be on that one ?

I’d agree but 6 of our next 8 are away so I really don’t see us pulling away over this period - just as tough for us. What I would say is that if we’re still in a good position at the end of these fixtures, then I think we can certainly push for the title.
