Whilst ambling around Plas Coch yesterday I got into conversation with the rep of a group of youngsters from Ohio. They were in town and had been to The Racecourse and to look at a a Wrexham junior training session. They just happened to be junior footballers themselves and were staying at the football hotel in Manchester.

They enthused about Wrexham but then poured cold water on the conversation by saying they were off to Anfield ! I did point out that real football was played at The Racecourse and Goodison Park and not at the plastic club Liverpool. Point was taken with humour.

Humour apart it was good to welcome them to our town/city.
Unfortunately they hadn't programmed a visit to a home match.

It is a ground worth visiting if you are a football connoisseur. But just stick to Analfield if you are a plastic fan with a norwegian accent.

When the mighty blues leave Woodison you will be seeing the old timber seats on the antiques road show. I understand the fans are already booking them for garden furniture.
