Anyone remember the Dave Brammer volley against Carlisle I think late 90s at the racecourse.

Graham Whittle away to Sunderland FA Cup 3rd round January 8th 1977
If the goal had not been in the way he would have killed a spectator !

Cannon's second and Mullin's goal were absolutely beautiful. Mullin's one will probably be forgotten quickly because he's scored so many for us and Cannon's was so good, but that finish was sublime. Not easy to get that right and most strikers wouldn't have even attempted the shot first time there.

In the reminiscing about other great goals I'm so glad someone else mentioned Mark Jones away at Oxford. Often gets forgotten because it wasn't in a great era for us or in a particularly big game. There was a 2 year period where it felt like that lad scored from 30 yards every week.

43:00 minutes in - another Trundle chip but I don't think it was this one:

Have vague memories of going around Oxford for a wander pre-match. Could be that I'm getting my University cities mixed up

Yeah was at that one. Quality win from 2 down.

Can’t remember trundle scoring away at Oxford and I went to most if not all our games against them down here around then.

Probably a few other Whittle screamers to include as well, I remember one at home to Crystal Palace in 1977, the final result I’d rather forget.

Some of a certain vintage will recall an Eddie May thunderbolt from the halfway line v (?) Fulham around 71 or 72..
Hang on was it it the semi circle..got a feeling it may have even been further back..could have been our own penalty box..actually thinking about it wasn't he behind the tech end in uni or newi car park as it was then

I have mentioned this one before, but for me it's Trundle's goal away at Bristol Rovers in the 02/03 promotion season.

Back to goal, flicks it over himself and the defender, cushions it on his thigh and slots it into the bottom corner. It all seemed to flow in one motion - astonishing skill in such a tight & congested area.
