Default Mansfield Town (H) - T's & P's

Seven games to go, and they won't come any tougher than this one!

Despite a recent wobble, the Stags have the best away form in EFL2 by some way (W10 D6 L4 +42 -21 GD +21), and also have 5 clean sheets on the road and have yet to not score. But, equally, our home form is pretty good, too; albeit MK Dons have temporarily taken that crown.

So, what of Friday and this crucial top of the table battle. Personally, I think whoever wins this wins the title, so there is a great deal at stake. However, whilst coming top would be ideal, the aim is to keep in the Top-3 slots to secure automatic promotion.

What are our chances on Good Friday? Will SPM be our saviour? Or will we again be lured into the wilderness by a horned bunch of devils? Quite simply, and literally, this one could go any one of 3-ways. A win would be tip-top; a draw would keep us on track; whilst a defeat would increase the risk of someone catching us. Wouldn't be the end of the world -- as in 1976/77, for those of a certain vintage -- but it would, undoubtedly, be a psychological blow.

McClean returns but where: in midfield or at LWB? How badly injured was Mendy?

Surely the 3 CBs deserve to start, whilst Bolton starts at RWB.

Midfield will likely be Lee, Cannon and either TOC or McClean.

Up top, Mullin must start; and Palmer seems the most effective battering-ram we have, keeping the more capable Fletcher for the last 20 minutes.

I think they will score, but also think we'll score, too. Just unsure whether we'll score more than them, but will stay optimistic and go for a narrow win after 90 minutes of 'proper football'!

WXM 2 Stags 1

Mullin & Fletcher

O’Connor
Mendy

Cannon

Palmer
Mullin

Howard, Tozer, Young, Evans, Davies, Marriott, Fletcher

As well as he has done , I don’t think this is one for Boyle at CB.

Hard fought 1-1

Wouldn't stress too much about this.
The record this season against them is one win each (both away - our win latest).
Think Parky knows how to beat them. Up to the players.
Wrexham win.

This is where we need Parkinson to show he's a top manager.

It has shades of the Notts game from last season, we need him to get his tactics and game plan spot on like he did that day.

My head keeps shooting draw but my heart is holding sway.
A gritty low scoring game but Wrexham grind out an edgy win with a moment of magic from SPM

Yep. Like Borehamwood as well from last season - he sussed them out.
The players will know what to do.

I just want to win so that we can watch their manager meltdown about the refs.
