The money we earn from FX to produce the documentary is paid to RR McReynolds which slightly skews these figures. Basically one of our biggest revenue streams is paid to the parent company who then funds WAFC and enables us to deal with the losses.

The headline figure is a bigger loss than I was expecting, but there are some positive signs in there. Turnover doubling in a year and wages lower as a percentage of revenue than most clubs in the football league.

We were always going to make pretty sizable losses in these early years of the ownership. They'll be working to get us to a level and making the club sustainable.

Doesn’t FFP limit the amount that the parent company can give to the club ?

These accounts are up to June 2023. Summer tour 2023 isn't included. £8m

This is why we're going back

Not sure about the championship but in league 1 and 2 the only thing that matters is player wages/expenses as a % of turnover. Money given to the club (not loaned) can be included in turnover.

FPP doesn't exist in league 1 and 2. It's called an SCPM - salary cost management protocol.

We'll know we're in real trouble when Flag Day, Barroween and the Christmas Raffle return.

Thanks. That’s good news then.

Companies house filing is out

3.4 million revenue from retail, compared to 1.3 million the previous year.

About 800k higher sponsorship income (afaik we didn't have any new sponsors in 22/23 compared to 21/22)
