Sand is now spread with seed and perhaps some fertiliser (Extra seed for the Starlings of Rhosddu). The pitches should soon get back to the standard of the 1970's when Clwyd CC playing filed staff looked after it.

Well somebody else has a good memory. In the reverse fixture against Yale away DL got injured and did not play for the rest of the season. Sounds like it could have been you? We won that game 4-3 and it was pretty close. Stefan must have had a very good game!

looks very good. The doubters may have to eat some humble pie.

Never really understood the problem with using 9 acre. Close to stadium. Promotes community interest. As long as they can prepare the ground to a high standard(which appears they are doing) then seems like a bloody good idea to me.

Played on the 9 acre many times but the occasion that stands out is when I played for the 2 XI in 1961 against Wellington School, Bebbington when we won 22 - 0. Everyone in the team scored including our Goalie Ron Nicholson. Haddon Roberts was not impressed and made little mention of it in Assembly the next week. Still in contact with Mike Morris who was the teacher in charge of our team.
