Compare and contrast with last year's signings. We are building a team to at least challenge for the play-offs this time round - signings that befit a team that wants to be in the top 5.

What's his hair got to do with anything? I'm sure Man United fans didn't care about Ronaldo's hair in his first season there with his odd blonde highlights. If you're focusing on someone's hair when they sign, something is seriously wrong.

14 goals last season for Holroyd. Isn't that more than our entire front line attack scored last season? Sounds like an improvement to me on what we had.

Keates is doing it right. He's going for characters and leaders. We'll have a choice of suitable captains that's for sure, the way it used to be. He's also offering 2 year deals to the right sort of players.

Man knows what he's doing.

DK is signing good solid players with plenty of experience as opposed to the lightweights Mills brought in. If Dean continues to bring in similar players then we should be up there vying for at least a play off spot. Well done Dean !

Agreed. Very impressive, if he can get a striker of Cook's calibre, a 20goal machine I cant see why we cant challenge for top spot.

Keates also said today regarding further signings "more to follow shortly"...

This is the most optimistic I've felt in pre-season for ages. It reminds me a bit of a few years ago when Cambridge seemed to tie up deals for lots of decent quality players before most other teams had even started, and they went on to have a great season. it's clear Dean has been doing his homework for months.
