Default Keates near to next signing

Wrexham AFC boss Dean Keates 'not far off' adding another signing - Daily Post

He doesn't sound convinced on Toure either.

A lad at the game on Saturday said that Akil Wright was signing a 12 month contract on Monday, not sure if that counts as the new face, a good addition if so.

Interestingly, if the rumours are true and we did indeed bid for Cook.

That would suggest that there is still money left in the pot. Especially when you take into account the transfer fee and wages.

Gime will need to score a few tomorrow i think. Seeing highlights of him so far he looks good but isn't taking his chances and has missed a few sitters. As OP said,
Keates doesn't sound overly convinced in the article.

The post match interview Saturday Keates didn't sound too fussed on Toure.
The lad tries too hard, he needs to try relax himself, smashing balls over the bar when he could have just placed them into the bottom corner.
He's not bad, but he's not going to win you the league

I doubt very much we were in for Cook.

But I don't doubt there's money left, Keates is far too shrewd to spend all his budget in the summer.

We probably did do a cheeky bid for Cook, to test the waters.

I don't see the harm in it.

But Keates is not daft enough to throw lots of money at it.

Gime has a decent all round game but unfortunately he lacks the quality in front of goal. I suppose it's like having a baker who can prepare the ingredients but burns the bastard cake. Pointless.

Not a master baker then...
