Others over the season will get their opportunity to become permanent fixtures in the team.
That's not going to happen though is it?

For you definitely not, but for others sometimes yes.

How many MOM's have they had in the last 2 seasons?
How many goals have they scored in the last 2 seasons?

When you know the answer to the above you will see why your comment is actually false.

Depends on who's picking the MOM. Obviously you would never choose them no matter how well they play.Last season I think Rutherford scored 2 and Carrington 1. Rutherford was actually in the top 5 goal scorers, not that it matters.

Carra does not deserve this much shite. Keates thinks hes ok and we got 3 points last night and he played well from what people have said, lets get behind the lad

Still haven't seen you post any positives about Carra or Rutherford, or why they can be the best players on the pitch. Many have given valid reasons why neither are good enough.

My assumption was both were signed as backup as they are versatile and reliable pros.

He's not getting any stick, though. People are posting their opinion on him. If he reads it that's his (bad) choice. I think Carrington is actually quite well respected. I respect him as a pro. But don't think he's good enough.

I'm not happy with it having grown up with League Football.

Complacency breeds failure. We have to be ruthless if we are getting back to the FL
In fairness Keates was pretty ruthless but while he was draining the swamp he also had to get a team out while knowing every selection put every player close to an automatic offer. In the case of Carrington and Rutherford he knew they were players who would be professional and look to negotiate a deal that meant they could just carry on playing, but also weren't total wasters who were just grateful to have a job. There's no doubt in my mind that if Keates had a clean slate when he took over that Rutherford would not still be here, but Carrington probably still would be.

All reports point to Carrington playing well on Tuesday. This is good but generally he seems a better midfielder in a coaching manual than in a game. Charging around is overrated but you've got to be more of an influence than he usually is. He's not the worst selection away but at home...well, we all saw it. No influence at pushing the game forward and only marginally better at breaking it up when they had it; a steady passer can compliment more active players in a three but in a two at home you've got to be rather busier or get out.

I don't know about anybody else but personally an "assist" from a defensive midfielder would be something of a surprise. Ditto goals.

As for MotM awards you're having a laugh. Been in Bamfords enough times to know that they've often been selected by people so busy socialising they didn't see the game or so pissed they couldn't. Keates played the Carra position. Harris repeatedly got MotM. Nuff said.
Ok so you don't care for stats so you can't prove anything. Just comes down to your opinion which most people know is bs anyway! Nuff said.
