If this is true then Wrexham need to be braver and bolder with a view to crushing the opposition. On the credit side, only 7 goals conceded in the context of no less than four goalkeepers having to be used so early in the season. I would now sign Jordan Archer, 6'3'' striker from Stourbridge before league clubs come in for him. He certainly looks the part.
Difficult for Mackreth because if we'd lost it and then they'd have gone down the other end and scored he'd be slated. As it was he should have had a corner.

9 times out of 10 Lafayette (who is normally a bit of a donkey) skies that shot over the bar. Just one of those things.

I do yes. Given the opportunity of a one on one like that I'd expect any half decent striker to hit the target 9/10 times. However can any of us truly say we were surprised that massanka missed? Boden has a decent touch and is a finisher. He may not be the strongest but he is equally as strong as massanka. I have defended him in the past but he is showing no signs of improvement. His touch is atrocious. The one asset he has is pace, but that's not much use when he can't finish

Archer was on trial at Walsall in August but they didn't offfer him terms.
He can score but its a big step up from part time in the Evo-Stick to full time but its Keates call.

I see Jordan White has scored 1 in 7 at Barrow so doesn't look like he would have been the solution either.

Does it say anything about Mackreths inability to hold the ball and get the corner than the tactic. or was it a defo corner and poor reffing?

Keates claimed poor reffing as he stated the corner should have been given not a goal kick. Ultimateley it shouldn't have mattered, if we had taken our chances, we would have been out of sight. If he had crossed the ball and the keeper claimed it and distributed well we would have been on the backfoot, and fans would have criticised him for that. The point I am making is that Mackreth was in a no one situation as the fans would have been saying he should have kept it in the corner, if he had crossed the ball.

Same here. In preseason anyway Bodens finishing looked impressive.

Whether he would have got into the correct positions or not is another thing.

yes Massanka is wasteful but a poor clearance from the Jennings who played well cost us. gutted but that`s football.

I think most strikers would have found themselves in that position. Some are acting as if massanka pulled a masterstroke by finding himself in that position. Its already been mentioned that Kelly isn't the quickest so it didn't take much to keep pace with his break, keep himself onside. Even an average paced striker could have managed that. In fact a striker with a bit of nous would have pulled or at least held the cb by running the opposite side and opening it up for Kelly's left foot.
