To suggest that an announcer interferes with play is just daft. Players will hear a lot worse from the terraces and I don't see any of them reacting to some of the drunken and abusive comments they get . Its all part of the game of football we love and hate.

Announcers like to hear their own voices! Same at RGC rugby matches where substitutions are announced just as home goal kicker is preparing to nail a conversion.

Well there's some truth in that....But, thanks to devolution, Welsh, even this far East, is being shoved in our everyday life...I've Grandkids from both sides of the border. Some call me Grandad, some Taid...
The ones in Wales are certainly not being helped by the compulsory Welsh language element. The ones living just over the border, definitely seem to have an ad advantge..

How do you cope when they call you Taid? Stick a Welsh Not round their necks presumably.

I'm not sure learning the wives of Henry VIII in order helped me either but I doubt it hindered me overall.

Some of us are Welsh speakers "even this far east" and appreciate the fact that our language is used in our ground.....while I'm at it when has being bilingual (whatever the language) been a disadvantage?

Google 'Welsh Not' - then you'll see what he means.
Btw I think your comments are disgraceful.
