Hurst tweeted this afternoon :start of another week :
i dont think there is anything in it really.

for what its worth he is a good squad player and if he did not get injured he may well be our right back still as he looked more solid than Roberts who had a dip in form when keates put him on the bench .

And in this league that's exactly what you need sometimes

Hurst has always seemed better when hes played a full game . A bit of a bully may be , but that gives him an edge IMO.
However , when hes come on as sub ,has struggled to fit in sometimes , but that happens I suppose.
I like him

He is one of three right backs and each of them is similar in standard. We can’t finance three right backs so one of them has to go. Given that Roberts has a two year contract and that Carrington is versatile, sadly it’s Hurst. But we shouldn’t have got into this situation ; having signed Hurst and kept Carrington, it’s a mystery why Keates paid a fee and gave a two year contract to another right back (Hurst ) who is no better. Really odd decision and the type of decision that should have led to the Board intervening.

He was signed as a utility player before we managed to prise Roberts away from Halifax. Either midfield or right back....Dean watched him play in midfield for Dover at Solihull?? And was hoping he would be a midfield ball winner for us.

A type of decision the board should have intervened in?? Give it a rest...that's a ridiculous thing to say.

I dont think Hurst is that bad a player and would prefer to see hm at RM in front of Roberts.
He is far better than UB40 Mackreth.

The issue is an attitude one in training I hear.
