Sarcevic would win us promotion alone but that is an absolute pipe dream. More chance of signing Cook I'm afraid, and we all know that won't happen either.

I'm going to be harsh, if we've got a youth system that isn't producing players it's failed and needs to be looked at. If lads are in it for 10 years and aren't ready for first team football at the end it's a complete failure. They need to be prepared physically, technically and mentally for the challenge, hopefully it'll get overhauled. Apart from Maxwell and Ward we haven't produced anyone in 20 years? There's been a few sold on to bigger teams still in our system but not many coming out ready to be a Wrexham player.

We did have some strong candidates coming through the previous season but Mills released them against Joeys and Birchams will but he had been given overall final decision on these things. Tranmere offered one a contract but he did not want to drop down the pecking order as he had been recommended to the first time by Joey. I think him and one of the others ended up at Nuneaton for a season then Nantwich and I think one is now with Newtown. Shame another seasons training full time it all could of been so different for them.
