I agree Owain , a good game to get you on the edge of your seat at times from the forwards
Shame about the anticlimax

I think this lad will have a good career in the game at a club that provides better service.

A decent midfielder is a priority as well as a striker.
not this again....

It is a strikers job to lead the line and not simply hang around waiting for 'service'.

Danny Wright and Louis Moult didn't simply wait for service, they gave defenders a hard time and looked to create things themselves.

I have to say that Holroyd's work rate is phenomenal. He is all over the pitch and never 'hangs around' Works harder even than Danny Wright for me.
Good Luck Tumba top bloke who made the wife's day by posing for photo's. Am not sure whether it was his or our fault but it didn't really work.

A player who was not up to the standard required, could not shoot, never won a ball in the air, just a very poor player

Billy you may be right. But some wanted Millar as MOM yesterday and on that performance he also cannot shoot and has a rather poor first touch. Having said that I believe Millar would be worth persisting with.
I think the sort of balls that Boden in particular was laying on yesterday Tumba may have profited as I think he preferred to run on to through balls. but we will never know.

Massanka played about 40 odd games for us and probably played with 5 different strike partners, but never showed anything that makes me think he will make a living as a footballer.

Probably the correct decision to allow Massanka to go back.

It just didn't work out for him at Wrexham either through our tactics, his ability, or a combination of both.

However, I refuse to criticise the lad as I always felt he tried his best, never let his head go down and always had a smile and a wave for the fans.

In these days when many footballers look and act as if they are doing us all a favour by playing, it was refreshing to see someone who looked like he appreciated the opportunities he was being given, and I hope he goes on to develop a career in the game.

Sorry to see him go. As an impact sub he offers something and really should have come yesterday as a set of fresh legs to take the came to a Barrow should side who were playing against some extraordinary weather.

Ideally I would like him to stay here with Holroyd , with both as back up to two new quality strikers. The player to offload if possible should be Boden.
