Take it with a pinch of salt though as its probably a third or fourth hand rumour by the time it has got to me!!

If he's from the North-East that doesn't surprise me. It seems he's a central midfielder anyway. Having to put our top scorer on the left-winger seems to show where our problems in midfield lie.

Yes,yes, I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but you have a dislike of Keates which is blatantly obvious from your past posts.
Dislike for Keates? What, is this schoolyard debate now? How old are you? I have no dislike for keates, I've never met the guy. He's seems like a pretty decent hardworking professional. So are lots of bang average managers. Was I happy a totally inexperienced manager was given such a long contract? No. Am I satisfied with his game management and tactics? not overly. Do I think he's doing a good job? Better than expected in a poor league.

How many time since the summer has he mentioned bringing in someone? How many times has he failed? WHo know's, probably the same player over and over again. The fact is so far he has brought in one loan and secured the signing of a player already in the squad - a player 'in the making'. Am I hoping for better? Of course, but I'm not overly confident. If that's being miserable then I guess I am, along with half the people on this forum.

You need to grow up.

How often have you ever tried to recruit staff? Its not a straightforward job especially when there is the added complexity brought about by agents.None of us know whats going on behind the scenes or what budget is available.
Give the man a break.

I'm commenting on a football forum not emailing him every five minutes. Really, some people on here need to get a grip.

I think you have answered your own questions with this right here. It's a poor league and you are only really going to get poor players. Trying to get any quality in is going to be difficult and hence takes a lot of time and will encounter a lot of competition.

Well said and I agree with you 100%. I get told to cheer up and be greatful for what Keates has achieved so far but it's what we haven't achieved so far that worries me and reading between the lines expect more failure to sign the players we clearly need this January. We were all told to help build the budget and we all did but is that money actually available and what happens if it doesn't get spent bringing new recruiters in ?
The league is there for the taking this season anything less than promotion will be a great failure in my mind so come on Keates less glib comments and more positive action please.

No-one can blame the budget this time.
