Its not so much as being sussed out, its the fact our style of play gives the opposition a lot of the ball and therefore more chances than normal.
Thats why we draw so many games as it could be a bit of bad luck, linesmans missed off side that costs us when we concede the midfield.

We have kept up at the top in what is a poorer league points wise.

We now need to be more offensive and let Pearson and co defend.

Why’s it acceptable to score from set plays but unacceptable to concede?

Tactically something has to change - we have altered some of the players but too much emphasis is on defence to the detriment of attack.

Often we score first, we certainly start games at a fast tempo but don't kill teams off.
Even at a very poor Guiseley we did the same - took the lead and then virtually sat very deep and gave the opposition the ball and invited them onto us - even when we were 0 - 2 up in added time and had a corner and could have gone for a third goal we were more intent on xxxxxx about with the ball by the corner flag - yes if we were winning by just one goal but we don't seem to have a ruthless team mentality to put teams to the sword and kill them off.

Draws wont be enough so starting tomorrow night we need to go for wins - I am convinced we now have the personnel to do it - it's either a mixture of formation / wrong mix or now a mental thing where we can't get over the hurdle of drawing matches.

It’s because we’ve suddenly started conceding from them more and more, almost each game.

Well the Halifax one was poor defending all round.
They take a short corner but we have no urgency to get out the the ball or man with the ball, then dont defend the man with the header and then dont defend the back post. Sutton one is from a set piece and we dont defend the near post.

Its the manner of the goals from the set pieces not just because they are set pieces. Its training ground stuff.

Seems to be the mentality that one goal will be enough - and our defence is so ace we don't need to score another so we sit back, invite pressure and concede - we need that second goal to kill teams off but they very rarely come,

Just out of interest how many well worked goals by the opposition have we conceded compared to poor defending at set pieces.

No such thing as a good goal from a defender's point of view they are all stoppable
