Ratings vs Maidstone

Dunn - 6: Had little to do all game but what he did do he got right bar the one flap OP alluded to in his ratings

Roberts - 8: First half great performance, so much so their winger (I think it was Turgot) swapped sides at half time, probably because he was getting nowhere playing left-mid. Second half less to do but still good. I'd argue he's been our most underrated player all season.
Smith - 8: Gave their centre forwards trouble every time the ball came up to them. He's here, he's there, he's every-f***ing-where indeed.
Pearson - 9: Captain's performance. Didn't put a foot wrong and was the match winner at both ends. MOTM.
Jennings - 7: Not his best performance but still a solid one. Tried his luck a few times but somehow got away with it each time.

Rutherford - 5: A non-entity this game. Can't recall anything he did off the top of my head. I'm not as low on him as other fans but he did nothing for me all game.
Wedgbury - 6: Worst I've seen him in a Wrexham shirt 1st half - sloppy passing and a little weak. Only got a 6 because he got his act together in the 2nd half.
Kelly - 6.5: Most frustrating player on the pitch. He'd do something clever and then moments later would give the ball away amateurishly. Gets an extra boost for the assist.
Deverdics - 6.5: Drifted in and out the game. Played some lovely football at some points in the match but disappeared for others.

Holroyd - 6.5: Ran and ran and ran and ran. Got nothing for his efforts but he and Quigley managed to make the defenders panic at times. He's got an engine but didn't have much more this game.
Quigley - 7: Wanted a goal, didn't fall for him. Another day and he would have got at least 1. The shove he gave to that centre-half to fire him into the stands gets a 10, however.

SUBS:
Franks - 5: Replaced Deverdics, gave us a 2nd non-entity winger. Should have replaced Rutherford. Glad we didn't pay for him.
Ainge - 5: Not enough time to make any significant impact. Noticed he moves at glacial speed at all times, though.

I was excited when Deverdics signed. He had always played really well against Wrexham. Now he has signed for us, I have yet to see him play a decent game or look like he cares about his performance. Going to give him a few more games to prove me wrong. Disappointing - could do better!

Roberts 7 sound
Smith 8 good performance
Pearson 10 MOTM his will to win won us the game and he dragged the whole team with him
Jennings 8 great first half - every attack went though him, didn't do as much second period.

Rutherford 7 solid. Typical Ruthers performance
Wedge 7 great defensively, but poor passing when the tempo was high
Kelly 8 thought he dis well on the ball
Deverdics 6 some good moments, and passes with outside of left boot, but not involved enough

Holroyd 8 such a good player, put Maidstone on the back foot regularly
Quigs 7 always a threat but not his day

Subs
Franks fresh legs but nothing more
Ainge great defensively at the end when those corners were coming in

Very disappointed with Deverdics (4) just doesn't get stuck in, can't tackle or head a ball, and Prodigal Dragon sums him up nicely - a show pony.

Contrast with Pearson (9), a true leader, committed to the cause, obvious MOTM.

I think Raven May be better than both of them. A fee and two year contract for Roberts was bonkers when CArrington was just as good.

Baffled by some of the high ratings on here. Other than a good spell in the first half, thought we were pretty poor going forward throughout with a pretty much non existent midfield who were constantly passing the ball sideways. Pearson carrying the team once again.
