Keates attempt to correct the midfield in January, failed spectacularly, and the alarm bells started ringing. Getting louder and louder.
When he departed to Walsall, the finishing line looked in sight, and we'd be able to get over it..But the board should have started immediate behind the scenes recruitment process of a new manager, in case things went pear shaped..
Not that, that would have guaranteed anything. But at least they'd of tried..I fear, if we do miss the Playoffs, it will leave a bitter taste with many..
I agree with that, people well p1ssed off about this collapse

If its "behind the scenes" maybe they have, if we (the general football fan) know about it then it would be pretty bad execution of "behind the scenes" wouldn't it.............??

No because he is rich we would be able to buy the league the next season.

The football knowledge card can be played at most club owners who rely on their employees to run the club.

Hard to plan for your manager jumping ship and this "they shouldn't have let him go" nonsense doesn't wash in the real world.
What about just having a manager, don't we deserve that after all the money we have invested each and every one of us? Im usually very positive but the end of this season just takes the piss

To me this sums it up. We are all 100% pissed off with how this season is ending but there are a few on here who will be slagging the club regardless. If we'd gone out and got Yates and it went tits up they'd be going tonto saying AD and CD were the answer all along.

True. And if we do go up they'll still say we're going to come straight back down, even before a single player is signed up for next season.

Accrington Stanley promoted to League one on average crowds of 1800, Macclesfield about to leave this League on average crowds of 1500. Shrewsbury on the verge of the championship took 11,000 to Wembley ! It's not all about money its about having a decent management team and coaching staff to work with less talented footballers and sadly we don't have the people at this club to identify either.

Whilst we still adopt an " ah well there's always next season " mentality at this club and people responsible are left to make the same mistakes year in year out for all their good intentions then sadly another 10 years of the same is very much on the cards.
