Excellent post Wrexy, I cannot see more than 2000 at the last game of the season. And as for season ticket holders next season, many will say enough is enough. And WST money in June, forget it it's money down the drain.

Pressure is on the swaggering board to deliver a decent manger and explain why no appointment was made when AC/DC's limitations were exposed for all to see. If they have someone in place who will be best for the long-term future of the club, then fair enough and all the die hard fans above who are understandably wavering will be back. If it is Asensio or some other lightweight, then we need a riot.

Things didn’t bode well when we show at London Reds pub of choice and we see half of them heading towards the ground at 1:30pm. Normally those boys don’t leave the pub until 2:59pm earliest so something was clearly up. Wish I hadn’t have bothered. A bobbly pitch resulted in a poor game. Two poor sides. One of whom had nothing to play for and one of whom had everything to play for. But you honestly couldn’t tell.

Today was the first time I’ve seen Wrexham play live this season and thankfully its also my last. This team makes the beautiful game look like the Elephant Man in a football kit. Ugly, desperate, stuff.

A nothing 30 minutes devoid of any quality from both sides and Jennings over-runs the ball, loses it, and we’re exposed down the left side. The cross comes in, and the header is a beauty straight in the corner to Dunn’s right. He had no chance.

Wrexham huff and puff but create no chances whatsoever first half. Three or four free kicks are awarded in good positions, all but one goes straight out of play. Criminal. Corners are wasted. The big tall Orient centre half is winning every header against Quigley who looks out of place. Jennings is having a bobble-inspired shocker at left back. 1-0 at HT is a fair score. Wedgebury aside Wrexham were woeful and were rightly booed off.

Surely we’ll see more fight and spirit in the second half? Yep, 20 yards over my left shoulder Wrexham fans are fighting amongst themselves. Rumours during the game say it was over a hot-dog. Rumours after the game saying it was someone having a dig at Pete Jones and the WST. No idea if each rumour is true.

But there’s more fight in the stands than on the pitch. Wedgebury aside. Jennings gets in a great position and put in a cross that an 11 year old could do better. We waste more free kicks from great positions. Kelly has a shot that clears the stand and puts flights coming in to London City Airport in danger.

At the other end Dunn keeps it to 1-0. A flying Match of the Day save to his left (one for the cameras) and a one-on-one that he diverts to his right for a corner. He had a good game and without him it could have been 3 or 4.

Going forwards we’re never going to score even if we play until midnight. Ainge comes on and his only contribution is to be caught offside 3 or 4 times. We can see from 80 yards away that he's about 3 stones overweight.

But these aren't salad days. 90 minutes without a single shot on target tells its own story. Boos at FT with good applause for Pearson, Jennings steps forwards to more boos, Wedgebury steps up to warm applause and the other pantomime villains shuffle off stage. They won’t be coming back for an encore. See ya.

So where to go from here? Ship them all out except for Dunn, Wedgebury, Manny Smith and Pearson on that showing. As it stands we’re nowhere near good enough to get out of this league.

That sums up every game I've seen all season. We've been shit all year, thank god Keates has gone.

I think the board are getting too much stick atm but that's just me presuming they've sorted the manager situation, if they haven't and we're left with Davies and Darlo to sort out who's staying etc, then next season is already over and heads need to roll.

We clearly haven’t been shit all year, topping the table in November and only losing 5 games at that point. Yes we have been very defensive minded but looked set for a playoff place under Keates. It’s only the last 6 or 7 games where we’ve been truly inept, no coincidence under a buffoon of a caretaker manager...

Didn't someone say we have only won 5 games in the second half of the ( all against poor teams) season. My maths tells me Keates was managing most of those games.

We've barely been able to string a pass together, we've had nothing in midfield and we've hardly created or had a shot on goal in many games. We defended bravely at times but if we're honest we rode our luck a lot of the time.

It seems like we've worked hard on our defensive side but completely neglegted every other aspect of the game, and that's a bloody joke.

Still didn't stop me hoping that we'd get away with it even if I knew it was doomed to fail.
