You know that is rubbish everyone is distraught about the way this season has panned out. As far as manager goes you either trust the club to appoint the best candidate who will sign for the salary and the budget available or use your vote to change things.

Have you forgotten about Mills? The inexperienced Keates and Morrell did a damn sight better than him.

We've tried pretty much every option available... an experienced manager with a promotion on his CV (Mills), appointments from within to maintain continuity (Morrell + Davies), a returning club legend full of potential but lacking experience (Keates), a big name personally looking to use us as launch pad for his career (Saunders) and a up and coming manager with success at a lower level (Wilkin). NONE have been able to get us out of this god forsaken league so no one can say what credentials the next manager needs.

What's the point of saying it if not to blindly moan? Of course he's not a sure fire thing because there is no such thing. He is the current title winning manager and if all that brings is a negative comment then that shows what the club is up against. If you want the here and now business then that is as close to it as you're getting.

I'd be delighted if we appointed Adam Owen. Maybe no experience at our level but lots of technical and fitness knowledge and used to working with players of all pedigrees. Has been learning his trade working with many different managers in England, Scotland, with Wales and abroad. Could be a very good appointment but we probably thought that about others who have managed Wrexham. Good article attached about him.

For me the important factor will be the transparency and motive of the board behind the manager's appointment. If the motive is to go for the cheapest option in order to balance the books, then that will show the ambition of the board. However if they genuinely believe in their appointment in terms of style of management, tactics and a real plan to get us out of this league, then they really need to provide an honest summary of what basis the appointment was made I.e. not sales patter but hard facts to explain the basis of the appointment.

Im not sure about Owen but Im nearly sure it was him taking notes during the Dagenham game, and yesterday the same bloke had a suite on in the directors box. One poster told me he he wasn't in the country during the Dagenham game, but Im not convinced.

John Neal took over the club from Alvan Williams, we had a great youth system and already some good players...

No comparison to today it's like comparing chalk with cheese.

All the excuses are being put in already for the next failure.

Same here. This is the profile of manager we need imo. Fresh approach and fresh ideas.
