Have you seen some brollys around the place ? I gave some branded golf umbrellas from my business I run for use by disabled supports and their cares a couple a years ago. Have a word with Peter Jones who I gave them, they may be sitting around in an office not being used.

It was more for the careers helping them keep dry from car parks or the train station etc. I did say at the time if no use let me know as I was giving them out to local youth team coaches/trainers also to keep them dry on the pitch side. If they are Still around perhaps you could make sure they go to a couple of local youth team coaches.

Of course, pitch side spaces are not the ideal and minimum standards of accessibility at football advise that no more than 25% of spaces are at this level, so we are looking to move on with the second and third platforms that were originally planned (and funding applied for) back in 2014-15.
Currently we have 51 wheelchair user spaces and minimum standards require that a stadium with a 10,000 capacity has 100.
Any further increase in capacity requires 5 wheelchair spaces per 1000 seats, so for example a 5000 seat Kop would require 25 more wheelchair spaces just to keep Kop itself at minimum standards.

Very disappointed to read the above. The DSA were instrumental in providing the original match funding for the wheelchair viewing platform back in 2015. Has sufficient match funding been reached for another platform or two? If so, why is nothing being done to get on with an additional platform?

We're way under capacity for wheelchair user spaces (nothing new) and yet this has only changed by an additional 6 since 2015. Community orientated club!!!? If the monies available why not get on with making positive changes for our more disadvantaged fans. As you say, a new kop stand will only increase the discrepancy from current levels unless it includes over and above the required number of wheelchair spaces.

I applaud the DLO but providing blankets and ponchos are like putting a sticky plaster on an arterial wound. When are the club going to take action to address this inexcusable situation?
