What's prompted all the self flagellation again? Just as everyone was mildly optimistic about Ricketts and his initial interviews.

So Tranmere got promoted, good luck to them glad we've got rid of them.

I like the veiws of people with positive ideas for the club, so that we can move on.
But what gets me are the people that are happy to just jog along year after year in this poxy league.
To my mind they are the negative one's.

No it doesn't. It's just the, view of some on here. Do you suggest that successive management teams and players have somehow drawn on that ? It's surely a fair comment to say we are in a better position than Stockport ? It does not mean that the posters in question do not want promotion or accept failure.
Many things had to change at our club and have and yes we need a management team who do not accept second best just not sure what you want to change ?

I was just about to start a new thread, untill I seen this one, which seems relevant.

We are about to start our 11th season in the Conference, so I have summarised the fortunes of all of the teams who have been relegated from the EFL since we were relegated, along with Mansfield at the end of the 2007/08 season.
Teams that have since been relegated from Div 2 – 2007/08 Wrexham, Mansfield, 08/09 Chester, Luton, 09/10 Darlington, Grimsby, 10/11 Lincoln, Stockport, 11/12 Macclesfield, Hereford, 12/13 Aldershot, Barnet, 13/14 Bristol Rovers, Torquay, 14/15 Cheltenham, Tranmere Rovers, 15/16 York City, Dagenham&Redbridge, 16/17 Hartlepool, Leyton Orient.

Mansfield were promoted back to the 2nd division in 2012/13 and finished this season 8th in Div 2
Chester were relegated to the Conference North this season 2017/18
Luton were promoted back to Div 2 in 2013/14 and promoted to Div 1 this season 2017/18
Darlington were relegated from the Conference in 2011/12 and finished 12th in the Conference North this season.
Grimsby were promoted to Div 2 in 2015/16 and finished this season 18th in Div 2.
Lincoln were promoted to Div 2 in 2016/17 and finished 7th in that league this season.
Stockport were relegated to Conference North in 2012/13 and finished 7th in that league this season, defeated in playoffs.
Macclesfield were promoted to Div 2 this season.
Hereford went into administration and after spells in the Midland Football League 2015/16 and the Southern League in 2016/17 and 2017/18; they will play in the Conference North next season.
Aldershot have remained in the Conference and finished 5th in the league this season, losing in the play off prelims.
Barnet were promoted back to Div 2 in 2014/15, but have been relegated back to the Conference at the end of this season 2017/18.
Bristol Rovers were promoted back to Div 2 in 2014/15, then to Div 1 in 2015/16 and finished 13th in Div 1 at the end of this season.
Torquay were relegated at the end of this season and will play in the Conference South next season.
Tranmere were promoted back to Div 2, through the play offs, today.
Cheltenham were promoted back to Div 2 in 2015/16 and finished 17th in that league at the end of this season.
York City were relegated to the Conference North in 2016/17 and finished 11th in that league at the end of this season.
Dagenham and Redbridge have remained in the Conference and finished one place below Wrexham, in 11th this season.
Hartlepool spent their first year in the Conference and finished 15th this season.
Leyton Orient also spent their first season in the Conference this season and finished 13th in the league.
