As long as any religion is kept well away from me personally, I don't care.

That may have been 1970 - 71 season, a period of change for us. We lost at home 2:3 in September in front of 18000+
Eventually the return game was played on May 1st at Villa and we won 3:4 with goals from Smith(2) and Kinsey (2) in front of another 18000+ crowd.

Great memory as I took my Dad!

So, theoretically speaking, we win promotion and we have the mother of all parties. Fondop is top scorer. But you wouldn't have a drink with him if he mentions god?

Yes he was. I remember Gordon very well. A good keeper although probably an inch or two too short by today's standards. have afeeling he may have dropped out of the game after leaving the Reds.

It baffles me, how Religion is taken so bloody seriously in some countries? Ok, my 4 Sons have all been Christened, but that was more for the Ceremonial Value ( and piss up )

Perhaps had we collectively shown God more respect, we would have got out of this league a long time ago. At least with Mike Fondop thanking him we can hope. Amen
