Default A horrible choice

With a fit squad we could probably have ground out a draw on Saturday.

We assume so far that we have the skills in midfield and the ability up front to play attacking football, but there is another option. The Dean Keates option.

At the begining of last season Wedgbury and Wright were solid, this season I think Summerfield is a fair replacement and Wright looks like he's got better.

I agree with those like PAGL who say we've had luck so far in defence, which makes me wonder if perhaps, on balance we should be reverting to a more limited attacking approach and rely on the odd breakaway.

I decided last season that I could tolerate the rotten football if it got us to the playoffs. Is it to early to think that way again?

One defeat and you are questioning whether its worth going back to the tactics (or similar) from last season's worst ever display of football in living memory.

Get a grip, there has been more excitement in the 7 games this season than the entire of last season. Plus there are games we have won this season which we wouldn't have last season due to our inability to score.

Looks like some people need to learn how to lose!

When we had a run of good results last season and some people were querying them, writing it off as luck. Seems like the same is happening. Why does it only count when we lose?

We've had a great start to the season and so far the team has looked good. One bad result does not mean its the time to panic.

I don't advocate going back to last years style and be set up so defensively that its boring to watch. Although given the game on Monday it was actually worse than last season.

The optimists are saying its a blip and a one off so lets see the next 2 games, performances and results and if this really was just a bad day at the office or there is something more fundamental as per last season.

Being realistic then I just cannot bear to go through another season like the last one as I cannot justify time and money for that standard of football.

Here is hoping for Saturday.

Close the thread it's not relevant, it's a wind up has to be, go back to last season's tactics?? We have a manager who doesn't Park the bus now he wants us to score more he has said so.

'Revert to a more limited attacking option'

Remind me - did we ever work the Solihull keeper or get any attempts on their goal in 102 minutes of action on Monday ?
