I think the opposite, Sam rates him but he isnt doing him any favours playing him as he doesn't look fit. If he is fit he isn't doing himself any favours and can't be risked against an in form Halifax. I was shocked he got the nod today after last Saturday's performance and not making the squad for Solihull, however I wouldn't write him off, he is different to our other centre mids and may well be needed if we go a bit stale in there.

Playing up on his own too much. Nobody feeding off him/

Rutherford was quite good at getting up along side him or even beyond him before his injury

Deverdics didn’t sound good today, for sure. Going through a bad patch or loss of form I think they call it.
Remember, he spent most of last season (with us) being played out of position, which may have affected his confidence.
Deverdics has a good pedigree at this level and Sam obviously sees enough during the week to persevere with him.
Perhaps the fans should also?

That would be reasonable if we didn't have better options in midfield. And we have several.

I think I had a couple of new fans sitting behind me today, they kept calling Akil Wright big Mike

“He didn’t sound to good today “ he looked a lot worse. Obviously impressing in
training.

I may be wrong but that's what it looked like to me.
Such was the melee between Pearson and the Shots player Pearson ended up going down on the floor and appealing that I believe many if not all of the players wrongly assumed play had stopped (presumably for a free kick).
Most players stopped in their tracks - Beavon was the only one switched on who played to the whistle and as the corner was coming over he was totally unmarked and had a free header straight in the middle of the goal.

The ref had not blown for an infringement and allowed the goal to stand - although you couldn't say he was in any way wrong, morally and in a sporting way it was not a 'fair' goal in my view - something happened that stopped the Aldershot players continuing their play and the majority of ours - whether that was Pearson loudly appealing or him landing on the deck.

The Aldershot players were up in arms with both Rendell and their assistant manager being booked.

Can't wait to see the highlights on that game changing incident.

I'm all for giving a player a chance but he's had loads now including in his favoured CAM position and apart from his goal against Chester he's done absolutely fvck all.

Joe Clarke > Deverdics
