I can't see why any manager in a decent job would be tempted by Shrewsbury. They only gave Askey, a manager who had just taken his team to promotion, four months in the job. Who is to say the next incumbent will get any longer? An unsuccessful manager could easily face the sack at the end of the season.

It’s a matter of time before he gets a league club job the way he’s doing. It’s not like he wants to stay at this level long term. Only way I see us keeping him beyond this season is if we manage to hang onto him until the end of the season and then get promoted ourselves.
