KilkennyRed:

1. Castres won LAST season. Urios announced he was leaving in the summer, now they are mid table mediocrity. Not sure what your point is.
2. You brought the Pep leaving Barca thing up, not me.
3. Firstly I have not suggested for one minute I am a wrexham insider. It all happened today, and I am not aware any player being interviewed about it. I do hear Barrow had a pop at Ricketts last night. Only rumours but no smoke without fire.
4. Players raising their game in local derbies yes, but imo it's a stretch to say this as a "grudge" match for those individuals on the pitch today.

All I know is I saw more passion in tonight's performance than I saw at Barrow, or Leyton Orient. I am therefore glad we have a desisive board, able to make level headed decisions in the interests of the club. They've forced the issue, and taken control of the situation. They've drawn a line and ensured tonight's game, and any upcoming games for how ever long this sorry mess would have dragged on for, was not surrounded by speculation and uncertainty. Onwards and upwards with a new guy at the helm.

Thanks for not replying. Reading your war & peace reply was a chore in fairness.

Thought he was going to Shrewsbury

So was he refused then has he done it anyway?
Or have we given permission but only after the leaking of the fee?
Either way it looks bad.

If however we have given permission regardless then why would we take this action?

Something does not add up here.

Our board are forever being criticised on here for doing things the “right way” which generally means taking their time and checking all options. This decisive action suggests to me that pricketts has clearly done something contrary to the terms of his contract. If Shrewsbury have done the same then we should throw the book at both parties and seek adequate financial compensation which should be a lot of money. Naturally we may have to allocate some of that money to the empty head who threw a smoke bomb
I always wanted Ferguson but if Barrow and Juusi along with one of our own CD are not going then ,after last night, I see no reason to do anything other than approach them. Let’s see how SR copes alone in deepest Shropshire.
He has taken a huge gamble as more honourable chairman are hardly likely to want to take a punt on a man with such apparently loose morals if the rumours are true.

I feel two arguments are getting mixed up here and that is how should a fan act in this situation and how should the board.

I think KR can make a valid argument that fans should see it as a career progression and believe he is professional to see the job out.

However the board exist in a world where they have to act on the basis of knowing how the fans WILL think, not how they SHOULD think. The board have therefore acted sensibly made easier by the fact they had someone who had managed many FA cup games as a backup.

Moyn. Not criticising the board as their action seems to indicate something is amiss.

1 rumour is that we're not stopping in his way anyway and he can go regardless. Seems linked to lack of budget being available in Jan.

I hope we get closure on this as the situation is becoming farcical.
