Default The Diamond

We created loads of chances against Eastleigh and loads against Newport first time round. The diamond appears to work and I think the secret is getting Ruthers in a central position. For the first time in those two games I started thinking we could sneak the title.

I am sorry the new formation probably means Ruthers starts ahead of Young, who hasn't done a lot wrong (apart from a two footed challenge), but it rids us of JMD which I think is a good thing. I think Grant and Beavon look a partnership that will produce. I think Grant is not likely to stay, but Quigley could hopefully do a similar job.

Ruthers is the key because his pace, quick thinking, and ball winning make him an excellent player for the position.

Be interested to see Grant play at the tip of the diamond, he is supposed to be able to an attacking mid role, just leaves the question who to play alongside Beavon.

The answer at the moment is Fondop like it or not.
Holroyd isn’t strong enough. IMO.

The real question is who we get in Jan.

I'd be inclined to agree, the lads an engima,. perfectly summed up yesterday by bringing the ball down driving, at his defender, turning him inside out, then unleashing a shot into the Usk. Gave us a laugh and started up a bit of Atmosphere in the away end.

If fondop is the answer the question must be Who gave away the last foul?

Would you like to clarify how this has 'wound you up' ? Or are you just here to abuse?

It wouldn't be his first rodeo.
