It's what 10+ years the kop has been derelict not good a plan hopefully is in place to resurrect this famous part of the ground but it's a major financial undertaking

I would imagine the steel structure itself will need demolishing in a few years due to safety reasons but the terracing will be there for a long time, unusable.

Not a builder so I welcome any comments why what I'm going to say can't be done.

With the steps of the Kop being shallow, we all know what's underneath is supposedly contaminated, then why can't we keep the base and concrete over it which will raise it and have a standing Kop, also look at is the stand over it repairable.

As I said I'm no builder and I'm sure someone with better knowledge will tell me if it can be done or not.

What about ownership issues here.
Uni own the ground and suddenly we have a different owner for the kop.
The WCBC dont give a flying fk about WAFC so this is going to compound the mess further.

Unfortunately at the time those of us who distrusted Moss and Dickens were told there was no other option. The Trust supported them at that time, after all. Are you saying the then-WST board members were stupid?

Indeed, but don't expect the angry village idiot to reply to this.

Problem is not that you couldn't overlay the existing but would be compounding the problem.
The barriers on the kop are not up to standard as the ground below is weak (from what I understand)
You would also be creating additional problems for the future development of the area as there would be twice the concrete to remove etc.
Whilst I have an attachment to the kop and the ground. The limitations lead me to think that a new site should be looked at.
One with enough land around it to ensure room for expansion should the need arise. parking. Corporate facilities, Conference rooms, restaurant and catering for the fan base and more. Site could double up as a park and ride for the town.
Alternatively look at a temporary stand on the kop similar to that at Eastleigh or Solihull, Easy enough to pile the foundations through the existing. Would have to look at new toilet and additional catering facilities plus reopening the exit / access from Crispin lane.
The time lapse on the closure of the Crispin Lane entrance could cause legal problems with right of access in the future and irrespective of any plans should be checked out.

Assuming we had the will and the money to build a new, purpose-built ground away from the Racecourse, do we have a clause to get us out of the 99-year lease with Glyndŵr?

Leaving the Racecourse would be an emotional wrench many fans couldn’t stomach, but I think it should be considered.

Hopefully not. I would rather the ground stay 3 sided then take risk of building a new ground even one with smaller capacity. We have no assets to sell to finance it anyway so someone would have to build for us to lease and if we think the powers to be don't care about the Racecourse then we will have no chance out of town. I sit on a couple if EFL SAGs and moves towards safe standing are high on the national agenda and shortly there should be some decisions.
