Default Re: Racism at Salford

I think it is part of a general malaise of football fans whose sole desire is not to support their own team but to denigrate the opposition: exhibit,
a) "Your support is flipin' shit"
b) "is that all you bring away?"
c) *other offensive chants*
This emboldens a group as they think identification as part of a herd is problematic for the authorities and allows sexism ("get yer tits out for the lads") and racism to forefront itself as the 'norm'.

Once saw a few lads try and stand up to racists during a play off home game against Luton. The result? They got chased out of the ground and stewards did sweet FA.

I remember seeing that. I didn't know what was happening until I got home and read it on here though.

Plus this one...

You may as well write in to Points of View or readers letters in the leader, a slot on question time or ask Jeremy Kyle to bring some racist crackheads on that need a DNA test for the father of their cousins child for all the good it will do.
Your only argument back is not to post which is what I challenged in the first place. Racism has been done to death on here and another incident at Salford means fk all. Its rooted in society so wonder who is going to deal with that then.
Over and out.

Getting a new striker has been done to death so stop posting on here too? Telling people what they can and can’t post on a public forum is a bit daft really.

I agree with you. Nothing posted on RP is going to change the world as we know it, so why bother wasting our time writing anything on here?

I was on a bus to Luton a few years back, pretty sure it was a play off game and some lads started chanting racist stuff at the back of the bus as we got into Luton, someone went absolutely nuts at them and told them to shut up, which they did instantly. So can work both ways.
As for the stewards, well they are absolutely useless from my experience and can't be trusted to do anything.
