He seemed to play with more freedom earlier in the season, and his set-pieces were good on a regular basis. Whether he's simply gone off the boil off his own back, has trouble playing in the new system, doesn't like any new training regime or doesn't like working under Barrow and Newell it's time to flip a coin.

Re: defeat at Fylde reaction.. 4 points off top
[QUOTE=dixienormous;2222209]Time for heads to roll, be careful what we wish for we've been told, well by being careful I wish they'd step aside, we've been going nowhere ON THE PITCH for years, that's all that matters to most, nothing else. We've become a joke.
I share your frustration and disappointment. However, if the Board resign, what contingency plans are in place for the future administration of the Club? I don't wish you to base that comment in the context of hiding behind the often touted, 'be careful what you wish for'. After all, a fans owned Club by virtue of its limitation in regard to financial strength is also limited by the fact that it relies heavily on volunteers to secure its future. There seems to be little or no criticism of the Board in regard to the financial administration of the Club and I believe that should continue in its present form unless of course someone can come up with a better 'bone fide' solution. Where the problem appears to arise and cause such 'robust' comment is in the application of a lack of football knowledge as it relates to managerial appointments and the like. There has been talk of appointing a Director of Football in this capacity. I'm not entirely sure that given the current unrest and frustration after what is after all eleven years , any one person would survive for long if there were difficulties and would likely be quickly exposed to criticism, often personal. How about a compromise? Let the Board continue as it is in administrating all aspects of the Club with the following exception. No directive role in the appointment, structure or otherwise of its 'on the field' activities. Instead, appoint three qualified and experienced personnel, ( voluntary or part time if possible ) to take charge of this function. I mention three as just a figure, this will eliminate any one person being subjected to personal criticism on the basis of what is happening at present. Should there be a cost involved, if they are part time, it will probably be of the order of what would be the salary of a full time Director of Football. Only an opinion, but it's obvious something needs to be done. |

Spencer Harris is the focus of criticism but that is unfair. It is the Board who act as one to make the appointments. One can possibly forgive them for choosing Mills, as hindsight is a wonderful gift, but their process for appointing GB was seriously flawed. However, just because the process was flawed, and we are currently struggling, it does not necessarily make the appointment of GB and MN bad. But if we do not start winning soon it will become increasingly difficult to find any positives. Ultimately, football is a results driven business; and it is clear at the moment that we are toxic. The question that springs to mind is: who would comprise this triumvirate of experts? And even 'experts' get things wrong!

Your last comments have merit . I don't have a solution myself, perhaps this problem is as insurmountable as Brexit. |

If the WAFC board resign or anything else were to happen then what contingency plans are in place. I have made the points a number of times and there has to be accountability and the the moment there isnt. There also needs to be direction and there isnt. Everyone seems afraid to act with management until its too late and then they have to go. |
