He would of been number one if he didn’t come back from pre season overweight. Ricketts dropped him and lainton played out of his skin.

Doesnt mean we cannot bid for him.
This is a key point for me. Just looking at players out of contract is a limited approach. Quality costs although we managed to spunk £200k on shite in Jan.

Come on pagl. Realism required here, on what planet would we bid money for a lad who has just signed a new 2 year deal at H&W.

Maybe if he had a year left from a previous deal. Aren’t they part time? Just got relegated? Imagine the reaction if we signed a lad who was part time and just got relegated for a fee.

We all know we wasted money in Jan but this view that we should be bidding for all these players and imagining they’d come just isn’t realistic. We aren’t paying the big wages, and we aren’t that big of a draw anymore. I can’t see him uprooting his life to come and play for a year in Wrexham.

They didn’t have to scramble round in a sellers’ market in January because they did their business in May and June 2018. And which other teams seeking promotion allowed their manager to leave mid season and then flail around manically apointing any Tom, Dick or Harry ?
