I agree 100 per cent.

Club don't want it - it's now become a total farce in recent years - shoved on a Monday night then as an after thought re located to a Tuesday and not advertised - whilst other clubs make a big event of it on a weekend day - a good opportunity to attract sponsorship and future supporters especially out of town'ers I would have thought - well better than on a second choice weekday night.

In future it should be a club event. Advertised well in advance in all media, properly organised and supervised.

Make it a fun event for the kids, Stalls, games raffle for Season Ticket and single games.

At least the commercial side were trying hard to encourage parents to join the Gold Bond initiative.

I didn't stay for the Q & A session. If any of the posters did, was athere anything interesting said?

Back to being serious for a bit, how can it not be a club event? Its a football club? Bizarre.
As for advertising it should be announced months prior maybe with the pre season fixtures.
It should be all for kids, it isn't for adults at all surely? Why would any adult want to go?

I am led to believe that it was organised by the trust rather than the football club board.
Adults do tend to take the kids.
There was little or no forward planning . It seems that the open day was a last minute affair. ( My perception) based on late advertising etc following queries on social media.
There is potential for money to be made for the club and good will generated.
