Not as bad as some are making out but Guiseley, Boston, Hampton and Richmond and lets not forget the mighty Chippenham Town made the ‘required criteria’ and we never.

Any “ nuggets” these academies find will be hoovered up by the nearest League teams as per usual.
They are meant to provide a pathway to the first team. That’s not happening with us ( which is sad and wrong) as we can’t afford the luxury of developing them and send them out on loan before discarding them.

In fairness Boston have always had a good scheme so no surprise there but Wrexham failing to qualify is staggering. Next stop college league with the independent academies that have sprouted up and that’s not a good enough standard for youth players unless they didn’t apply for that assuming they were in this meaning no youth team games program - someone needs to clarify. If it’s no games program they need to do the right thing by the players and release them to find games elsewhere. You can’t just pay friendlies at youth.
