Absolutely agree. We've seen a lot of centre backs since being in this league but without a shadow of a doubt like a sqaure Bambi on ice. Chelmsford fans obviously unaware what's on the way!

I kind of got the Nat Knight Percival feeling with him, if we gave him a year he could have got used to full time, but not too downhearted by him leaving though. Will never forget how time seemed to go in slow motion as that Chesterfield header slowly went over the line.

Makes the Tharme loan seem even more puzzling to me, even if he brings 1 in on loan and goes 3 at the back that means Lawlor, Pearson and Kennedy along with a loan on the bench. If Tharme gets games then fair enough I guess so long as we do bring in another CB on loan. Hopefully Tharme and Chambers wages are getting somewhat subsidised because it makes no sense to loan them both out, paying their wages to loan in another and have to cover more wages for that signing.

When Keates returned it killed Tharme's chances of playing for the first team stone dead, as with any other youth prospect.

They all need to look elsewhere to progress their careers, until Keates is gone.
