The board believe they single handily saved the club already, and as far as they are concerned the club will only be safe if they are in charge, regardless of what league we are in.

I fear for the club while the current board are in place. I don't see us going down to the northern league, our board will switch us into the WPL. A number of the board have wanted that from day one, and they will get their way if they are still in charge at the end of this season.

So you’d have thought they’d only make it 3 down to even it up.

However if Bury successfully apply to become a fifth tier club for next season then it would remain as we are.
I see, ta!

BBC website has always shown bottom 4 highlighted for relegation. Flash score.com originally showed bottom 3 in relegation spots, but recently they changed it to bottom 4 going down.

The Xmas NY fixtures are crucial and we will hopefully have a better idea where we are headed after those

Whilst the plight of Bury will influence the promotion / relegation number of places - I am fully expecting Macclesfield Town to fold now - in turn that will also have to be balanced in the league tables - their situation is dire and once from which they may not be able to recover from - certainly in the short term if at all. The demands of the busy Christmas period will further stretch their financial resources - suspended 4 point deduction is almost certain to follow adding to the 6 deducted last week - and if they can't fulfil their xmas fixtures it's going to be a case of goodnight Vienna.

Beat me to it. There was a piece of 5 live yesterday about it.

Got a horrible feeling it will be none down from league 2 if Macc go bust, with two up from the conference. Still be the normal amount down.

If more than two league teams went bust it would make things interesting...yet we wouldn’t be in a position to capitalise

But if we have two up, four down as normal, and no teams come down from the league, we would only have 22 teams

I am sure I have read it somewhere confirmed that 4 teams will be relegated from the Conference. And I am struggling to think of 4 teams in this division who are actually worse than us.
