My response was to bowler's killer remark, what I replied is correct is it not? Thought that would be easy to grasp. Obviously not.

P.s. That post was in reply to you saying you were blatantly going to flout the rules of lockdown, for some reason you didn't put that in your reply, can't think why!
All Bowler said is that it is a killer virus which is correct and you called him dramatic. Overreaction would you not say?

When I posted there were no 'rules' just advice so yes I did think about ignoring the advice. Shortly after that they became rules.

I have no problem putting that in my reply.

Think you need to read my post again.

Dramatic. Its only a killer for a small percentage of people.

Is this not correct?

If you want to start dragging posts up from the past how about we go back to the one where you said foxy was 'on the spectrum'. Remember that?

Read Bowler's post again. He never suggested it killed everyone did he?

We can all drag up old posts - Foxy has made some crackers about me over time - no problem with that - sometimes folk go overboard in the heat of the moment.

Nobody wants the lockdown it's shity and boring for all of us and nobody is saying life doesn't have to go on. Just asking for people to try following the rules for a few months (which isnt forever) and help save thousands of lives as their all just as important as you're own.

If everybody plays their part to beat this thing then everyone including the vulnerable and elderly some of whom made a hell of a lot more sacrifices for us and which people were remembering and raising a glass to only last week can also hopefully enjoy the end of lockdown same as the rest of us.

Covid will always be around, and we Will have to to judge the risks. The example given by Rob was 1:400. Using this example there is a 400-1 chance of me getting it at the Racecourse; actually much longer odds than that because Rob’s stats are based on a two week sample , so on any one day there would be fewer infected. So perhaps the odds are 600-1 , maybe more. I might catch those odds and get it. There is the. a fair chance that I have no symptoms. The most likely scenario is mild symptoms. The odds on it being severe are very very long.

I know what you will say - I could pass it on to someone else who might become really ill. Well yes, but the overall odds on me getting it and then passing it onto someone else who becomes really ill are extraordinarily long. In fact, 1:400 is probably much less risky for public health than attending a match during an average winter flu season.

As a society we have to move away from absolutism on this and logically balance risks both in terms of public policy making and also individualised choice.

PS - the odds I have given should be even longer , because it assumes the one person in 400 will automatically give it to someone that could be me. What if they wear a face mask ? What if they sit away from anyone (really easy at the racecourse ) or what if I sit away from the crowd ? What if Wrexham play a rip roaring game and come from 2-0 behind to win 3-2 in the last minute and everyone hugs and shouts ? Or much more likely, what if it’s a turgid 1-0 defeat and we all slump quietly into our chairs ?
Yes but them 400/1 odds are during a lockdown and within just a couple of months what do you think they would be if the country hadn't have locked down and carried on as normal?

I did support the lockdown for 6 weeks

Now - not so much

Anyway based on the latest update from the FM , those ultra cautious types have got their wishes

I feel very sorry for many Welsh businesses after that useless statement

That wasn’t the question Rob posited.

I’m not disputing the lockdown. Of course the lockdown was probably broadly correct, though perhaps should have been started earlier .

Professor Charisma is pandering to anti English nationalists because he is worried about the Plaid vote. He is also, as always, desperate to make the assembly relevant. It’s nothing to do with science but everything to do with party politics , and at the same time playing politics with peoples’ lives, peoples’ jobs and peoples’ services.

Could you imagine if the games were not postponed before the lockdown was imposed.

We were due to play barrow away on the 14th March.

Barrow has the highest infection rate of any town or city in the country.
