The controls put in by WST mean that money has to change hands to discuss the issue. Have they gone beyond that? If so, i understand why the statement seems positive.

Look, in the current situation with COVID-19, the lack of crowds and the modus operandi, I believe we could be in trouble before the season end.

Let's move forwards and as long as we/they can answer most of griff49's questions, they will do for me. Caution has to be the watchword!

We have the benefit of a decent fanbase as well as history and tradition, but we also arent saddled with mountains of debt. There is also the potential of a properly funded academy, there is a reason other clubs have been investing into youth projects in North Wales recently.

If there are wealthy individuals possibly with links to the area or the club, who are looking for a football project, then we tick a lot of boxes.
yep, 2nd biggest club in non league, decent customer base - buying potential

there is absolutely no logical reason at all not to agree to this, I'd be astonished if it is less than 90+% positive vote in favour, in fact if somebody votes against it it is simply to gain attention !!!

Any insight on how much this squad has cost to date?

Especially if there's a second vote to approve the sale once the details of who they are and where the money is coming from is revealed prior to said vote... Should be 100% IMO

Completely with you on this. Just worried about members completely blinded by fan ownership that's all.

Two simple thoughts
Where is the 2 million coming from? Is it their actual real money or is it being borrowed ? If the latter then where is it sourced from?
Equally 2 million sounds a lot but in today's world it is peanuts! What is the supporting business plan?
What happens in a year or 18 months when the initial investment has gone ? What then especially if the journey to the promised land fails ?
Convince me with real facts and detail and i might support it but if someone wants to invest in the club then great but let's examine very carefully.
Ps before I am accused of quoting from the wst bible again let me restate I am not a member . I am an economist by background and a hard realist when it comes to money and investors. Also been a supporter for over 60 years!
These are all valid points, and need to be met by both the WST and prospective buyers if the club is to survive and prosper in these demanding times.

I suspect the WST Board and Executive support the bid, hence why we have assembled a big squad, and Mark Williams stated we had budgeted to lose £500k.

SGM called by the board. I believe a Simple majority required.
£2 million isn't that much. Chesterfield were losing that much every year.
Pilley has spent Millions getting Fleetwood where they are and has no return apart from the kudos of owning the club.
Dale Vince is still spending Millions on FGR.
I'm all for additional monies coming into the club but am concerned, like Griff 49 as to what the long term investment is likely to be.
I hope that the trust continues to exist even if the sale is successful and we have a guarantee that no future sale can proceed without members approval or we have a simple buy back clause with a nominal sum similar to the purchase figure.
