If we have money to spend on better quality players then the quicker we get them on the pitch the better.

That's effectively what will happen between the votes. A Heads of Terms will be agreed which is essentially (for those that may not have used these) a list of the important things that need to go in the contract I.e. Sale amount, what's being sold etc.

We simply must vote this first stage through and then properly do our research on the investors.
Hopefully, they are the dream owners that the club deserves. That is owners that have a genuine interest in making the club successful, but for the long term. As others have said, it's a no brainer to vote this first stage through, just imagine it doesn't get through and we never find out who the potential buyers were.
Most of us are not content to merely survive now, I'm truly grateful that I support a club whos fans saved it, but ultimately we all want to be entertained and enjoy some success on the pitch. Please let this be the start of a new and happy era for the club, especially with this virus spoiling all the fun. COYR!!!

After that, the Devil is in the detail. But if the consortium are headed by a reputable figure it will be so much easier to win the argument. There are some die-hards likely to vote against the ‘best deal in the world’, but the vast majority are pragmatic enough to move to our next chapter if it all stacks up.

I thought it was two well known wealthy investors rather than one front man and a consortium.

If there are 2 investors, are they not a consortium?

I do not know who is involved, but wealthy folk usually employ someone to front things on their behalf.

I think the word Consortium implies more than 2, but technically you are probably right

PD I guess it's a moot point.

An investor fronting up a consortium would mean a number of parties being involved whereas two investors would be a partnership.

It doesn't matter though as you aren't saying it's the former.
