Its a penalty. He didn't give it because he didn't see it - same as when he gave neither penalty nor freekick for the Rutherford pull.

you want to apply your rules so be it. Personally whether i agree or not i will stick with what are the rules.

So... Not a penalty then. Surely Ruthers, like it or not, should have gone to ground with the tug knowing the ball was running away from him.

I feel like we lack decision making skills not necessarily footballing ability sometimes. That decision making skill can be taught though so why isn't it?

My first reaction last night to that performance was complete and utter anger but today in the cold light of the morning after, that anger has been replaced by a feeling of being ashamed at how far the team that I have supported for 63 years have fallen and that feeling has been heightened by it being witnessed on national television. The Board must take full responsibility for our demise, allthough deserving credit for getting the club on a sound financial footing, their stewardship of the football side of the club has been disastrous . Managerial appointments at times have been illogical even farcical , leading us to the present occupier Dean Keates. From being a player that we all admired he has become the very essence of what is wrong with the club. A prerequisite of any manager should be the ability to change and adapt to different situations but in Mr Keates we have someone who is either intangegent or incapable of change. The team is set up not to concede but when as of last night we do go a goal down there is no plan B. Players played out of their natural positions in roles they are not comfortable with adds to their confusion. If the Manager cannot or will not change his game plan then his tenure at the club must be brought to a close. We were given a warning last season , do not ignore that warning by saying the team needs time to gell. We DO NOT have that time.

Yes he should have done. I also think the lack of crowd must have an impact. 5,000 home fans screaming for a pen may well have swayed the officials.
In the end as you say - it was not and if your aunty had balls she would be your uncle. Its a forum and ,for me, the rules are clear and the handball for me is stonewall. The trip more debateable i accept but still for me a pen.

You can't blame the manager for the missed sitters or the referee not giving the penalties. But you can blame him for his tactics and his decision making. It doesn't matter who he buys it's the same system and it's not working. I don't think he has a plan A nevermind a plan B.

There are no ‘rules’ in football just laws. The officials won’t be swayed by a crowd regardless what people thing. Not the constant moaning to the 4th official be DK. The truth of the matter is we played a team beaten 8 times on the trot and we couldn’t score a legitimate goal against them. I don’t thing our team is appalling, nor the players mostly BUT the coaching and style of play leads a lot to be desired. Moaning at the referees doesn’t cut it for me.
