I think this would be ideal. Lindsay and Paul and their fans can go start a team of their own, those of us who prefer football to politics can enjoy the hoped-for success the two R's may bring. Win-win.

There is absolutely no way the FAW would allow any Wrexham breakaway team to enter the English system. An AFC Wrecsam would have to start in the North East Wales League. Would there seriously be any genuine support for a new club to play against Bellevue, Ruabon Rovers and AFC Bagillt?

They have a point to make in that perhaps we could have negotiated the old Swansea model and tried to keep a small shareholding thus keeping at least one member on the board to scrutinise any dealings or underhand sale further down the road making it that bit harder for any future sale to unwanted buyers. The trust and ourselves are to eager to give the club away for nothing. I have no doubt that R and R will put in the money and bring us success and believe their intentions are good but at some stage they may decide to buy out the lease and they will then own the ground. If the club fails to gain the success as they would wish or become tired of their project we could possibly find ourselves in a Similar situation as with scrupulous owners buying the club and the land to make money for themselves. I think that is what they are saying but having said that we can fight that battle when it comes but believe the trust could have negotiated something but I suppose you have to balance out that they want a quick sale to them walking away and the fury of the fans if this fell through. I like everyone else wants this to go through but just trying to balance their argument which if they do have any other misgivings they should come clean rather than rant on about any breakaway club
