Re: Hartlepool Verdict
3-5-2 was originally brought in to accommodate Pearson. Made sense. Kelleher-vassell-Pearson sounds very solid. Leaves RHJ full licence to bomb on. That has back fired with injuries to two of them. I think the reason reckord is being held back is to protect Carrington. A decent forward or winger would run him ragged.
We are desperate for Kelleher/vassell/French to build a solid understanding. We can play higher up the pitch having two quick lads back there instead of one. Shift the whole team forward 15 yards and put teams under more pressure. Ive said for months, we need legs in midfield. Someone who can drive with the ball from deep. We have nobody in there to impose themselves and force teams back. Which is why any possession we have is 50 yds from goal. We need 3-4 passes to get in decent areas, instead of 1-2. |

I’m also sick of watching Luke young plodding around in midfield. Almost gave a pen away and does not pass forward. Really poor. |

Re: Hartlepool Verdict
The midfield was crying out for Harris to come on against Pool..Completely overrun and no shape...Jarvis and Davies are ball players and lost a lot of challenges..
Durrell improved things a bit but Harris is the only link up and battler in that middle for last few games... |

An opportunity missed in the window and so unlikely to be resolved this season with this manager. |
