It would be lovely to be back to normal by June but I just don't see it happening with current statistics.

Apologies if I'm being naive, but don't those statistics in your first sentence mean that everything will be fine once we are vaccinated? (Variants permitting)

If infections are cut by 60%, then the multiplier effect will drastically reduce infections. Then if those who got infected get an 85% reduction in odds of getting ill, then hardly anyone will need hospitalisation.

What am I missing?
