A couple of years ago, we might struggle to break a team like that down but we have better players now who are creating (and taking) better chances.
A couple of years ago their late goal would have been a winner

I thought for most of first half that was best I’ve seen us play under PP. Midfield absolutely dominated and having the wingbacks, Palmer dropping into 10 role and even Cleworth stepping out to play a quick passing game was a real joy to watch. Jones was a man possessed at times and when everyone around him is moving Young can be the fulcrum that has real impact rather than running his arse off to cover for others.

Frustrating that we conceding as chance there are 4 teams in this league who could pretty much beat everybody else so goal difference could be key.

We are scoring goals for fun at present. It's frustrating the other teams keep winning, but we can only focus on our own results. The question to me is can the momentum built at home lead to better results away (particularly against top half teams) which is what let us down last season.

Palmer unplayable
Mullin lethal
James Jones bringing the intensity
Luke Young quality
JD anonymous again
Forde and Mendy excellent
Back four solid

The sort of game we’d have struggled with last year maybe, but we had our foot on their throat from the first whistle and didn’t really let up.

Agree you can see this group pulling away quite quickly.

Can't argue with tonight's display and it sounded impressive. Its good to see after that Chesterfield result we've been able to get on a good run.

It's so strange to listen to a game on the radio where we're not worried about a late equalizer or loser. It kind of takes the tension out of the game - I could get used to this!
Sounded like a very good win.
Interestingly, on radio Wales, Barry Horne thought we were very strong except for our wing backs, contrary to some views on here.
What do people think? Certainly from a listening perspective Forde and Mendy have been mentioned (positively) a lot in the last few matches.

I can honestly say that every single player played well , Palmer exceptional. That is the standard we need to sustain to achieve our goal 👍
